Wednesday March 11, 2026. West End Ambulance (MICU 67) called in this dumpster fire while responding to a call down the street just after 8:30 this morning. The call was in the 200 block of Kimbel Drive. Firefighters were met with a large dumpster with heavy smoke coming from it and a neighborhood blanketed in smoke. The dumpster was loaded with old hardwood flooring, contractor materials, leaves and trash. Crews used around 2000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire, and were on the scene about an hour.
