Saturday March 25, 2023. Around 11 AM Kimberton firefighters were alerted for a utility pole on fire at Hares Hill Road & Coldstream Road. All 3 Chiefs and the Tac responded to the rainy morning call. Crews found the top section of a pole burning and spreading down the pole. Eventually the 2nd breaker kicked out with a loud bang and flash and the fire went out. Crews remained for a bit to make sure there were no further issues and then cleared the call. The eventual reenergizing of power in the area caused a fire alarm to trip down the street and crews checked that out also.
