Thursday July 18, 2024. This wreck came in at 8 AM at Route 113 & Coldstream Road in East Pikeland Township. A EPPD police unit was responding to a medical emergency involving 1 with a gun when the accident occurred. The Ambulance going to that call found the accident in the intersection. Engine 61, who was returning to the station from a fire Alarm call was on the scene in moments and found 1 trapped in the car. Crews used the Jaws of Life to Pop open the cars driver's door to access the patient. Crews were assisted by fire police from Valley Forge Fire Station in directing traffic. Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
