Car vs Bridge abutment leaves 1 in a precarious position

Wednesday June 5, 2024. Just before 6 PM the crews at Station 61 were alerted to their 3rd call in a row for an auto accident on Kimberton Road off Route 113. Kimberton units were on the scene in minutes and found a car vs a bridge abutment. The car was on the edge and about to fall into the waterway below and the driver was still in the car injured. Kimberton fire personnel stabilized the car before attempting to remove the driver. The extrication was completed in minutes and the patient was turned over to Uwchlan Ambulance personnel for transport to Paoli Memorial Hospital. Crews remained on the scene until the car could be removed.
